86100D DCA-X
86100D DCA-X
The 86100D DCA-X is documented in this help system with information about the front panel, GUI, and remote programming in Standard configuration. The 86100D can be operated in Standard or Legacy configuration. Standard is the default configuration, and you'll probably never need to switch configurations. To program the 86100D in Legacy configuration, use the commands that are documented in the 86100D A/B/C/D Programmer's Guide.

Standard is the 86100D's default configuration at start up. It is also the recommended and default configuration when FlexDCA is running on a PC. Standard configuration allows you to use the new one-slot mini modules and TDR/TDT mode. Many of the 86100D's two-slot modules are also supported. Be aware that when the 86100D is turned on it automatically starts in the configuration mode that was active when the instrument was last turned off. If this happens, you can return the FlexDCA GUI on the 86100D by clicking Apps > FlexDCA. |
|
Legacy configuration supports some features that are unavailable in Standard configuration. For example, Legacy configuration supports RZ eye measurements and all 86100D standard two-slot modules (but not the new one-slot mini modules). However, extended modules, simulated modules, waveform signal processing, and Jitter Spectrum Analysis and Clock Recovery Emulation are unavailable. To place the 86100D in Legacy configuration, click Apps > Legacy UI. To return to Standard configuration, click Apps > FlexDCA. |
