TDR Setup

Basic Setup Limitations

It is recommended that you use the DUT based experience instead. If you use the TDR Setup explained in this topic, you cannot:

  • Run TDR Calibration Wizard
  • View T-Parameters
  • View S-Parameters

The standard DUT-based experience has the following advantages:

  • Easyest to use and most intuitive.
  • Shows available S-parameters and time domain parameters.
  • Allows use of the TDR Calibration Wizard.
  • Allows assignment of custom names to ports.
  • Ability to apply fixture DeEmbedding.

This version of the TDR Setup wizard is not recommended, but is provided for those users who desire a more traditional TDR setup experience. Instead, use the standard TDR Setup wizard.

Click Setup > TDR Basic Control to open this dialog. Or, click the Trigger button, located at the bottom of the screen.

To Define a TDR/TDT Setup

  1. Configure the setup:
    2. Click To Configure
    On a channel symbol to configure the Channel Step
    For a TDR module, turns the TDR step on and off.
    For a receiver module or channel, turns the channel on and off.
  2. Click Step Skew to correct for any skew between TDR channels.
