N7875A Adjustments Overview

Adjustments should not be used for calibration. These procedures are designed to reset various circuit parameters. In addition, some of the tests reset or calculate correction values associated with some measurements. The software is designed to adjust an instrument operating within the temperature range defined by the instrument specifications.

Never perform adjustments as routine maintenance. Adjustments should be performed only after a repair or a performance test failure.

In all test equipment configurations, cables and adapters must be properly torqued. Exceeding recommended torque values can cause damage to a cable or adapter, and can cause inaccurate test results.

A log file for each adjustment will be saved at the following location:

<Agilent TME root folder>\N7875A\Output\<Model_Serial>

For example:

<C\Program Files\Agilent TME\N7875A\Output\M9290A_US01020049

Aborting from Adjustments

These steps should not be performed while the adjustments are writing calibration files to the instrument.

Some adjustments use very long sweep times, which can cause TME to not respond to abort requests. The following steps will allow you to abort from these adjustments:

  1. Click Abort in the Progress Bar of the TME adjustment.

  2. From the CXA-m PXIe signal analyzer Soft Front Panel, press Local Preset.

  3. Follow instructions in dialog box of TME adjustment.
