:DIFF:EYE:PATTern
Command Syntax
:DIFFN:EYE:PATTern <pattern_string>
Where N identifies a specific differential waveform in the form "<connection1-8>_<ch1|ch3|ch5|ch7>". With connection 1, the connection number part (that is, "1_") is optional, and you can simply use the channel number "<ch1|ch3|ch5|ch7>". When two channels are paired to create a differential waveform and a common-mode waveform, the odd-numbered channel is used when specifying the waveform. For example, connection 5 differential waveform 3 (from the pairing of channels 3 and 4) is DIFF5_3.
<pattern_string> is a 16-character string containing symbol values in the pattern.
Query Syntax
:DIFFN:EYE:PATTern?
Description
When qualifying a real-time eye with symbols in a pattern (see :DIFF:EYE:BITS), this command specifies the symbol pattern.
- For typical NRZ (non-return-to-zero) signals, the levels are "1", "0", or "X". A valid pattern, for example, could be "1010X110X100X010".
- For PAM-4 (four-level) signals, the levels are "3", "2", "1", "0", or "X". A valid pattern, for example, could be "0123X032X021X013".
To specify which symbol position in the pattern is symbol 0, see the :DIFF:EYE:CURSor command.
