:MEASure:EYE:CONTour:RNSValue:LEVel

Command Syntax

:MEASure:EYE:CONTourN:RNSValue:LEVel{0:3} <random_noise>

Where N identifies a group of contour lines and must be {1:16}. <random_noise> is a double.

Query Syntax

:MEASure:EYE:CONTourN:RNSValue:LEVel?

Description

For Random Noise (RN) stabilization, sets the value of RN for the selected eye level of an eye-contour group. PAM4 signals have four possible levels: 0, 1, 2, and 3. PAM3 signals have three possible levels: 0, 1, and 2. NRZ signals has two possible levels: 0 and 1. There are actually four commands, one for each eye level on the signal.

  • :MEASure:EYE:CONTour{1:16}:RNSValue:LEVel3 (for PAM4 only)
  • :MEASure:EYE:CONTour{1:16}:RNSValue:LEVel2 (for PAM3 and PAM4 only)
  • :MEASure:EYE:CONTour{1:16}:RNSValue:LEVel1 (for NRZ, PAM3, and PAM4)
  • :MEASure:EYE:CONTour{1:16}:RNSValue:LEVel0 (for NRZ, PAM3, and PAM4)

To measure the RN, measure the RN while using a signal that has a short pattern. Or, measure the RN using a separate instrument. Use the :MEASure:EYE:CONTour:RNSTabilize command to turn on or off the use of RN stabilization.
