:SYSTem:OSYStem?

Description

Returns a string that identifies the operating system under which the Infiniium 2026 application is running.

The information returned is like the OS text that is shown in the System Information dialog box (choose Help > System Information...) except version and hotfix information is included in addition to the name.

For example, when running embedded on an oscilloscope, a string that is similar to the following two strings could be returned:

  • "Name: Microsoft Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC;Version: 10.0.26100 N/A Build 26100;Hotfixes: KB5066131, KB5048779, KB5050575, KB5079473, KB5083532"

When running as an application on a PC, a string that is similar to the following is returned:

  • "Name: Microsoft Windows 11 Enterprise;Version: 10.0.26100 N/A Build 26100;Hotfixes: KB5066131, KB5061096, KB5066360, KB5077181, KB5077869"
