Available Error Summary Data (Digital Demod)

The Digital Demodulation Format determines which error summary data are displayed in the symbol table, as shown in the following table (Yes indicates the error data result is shown for that demodulation type). For a description of a particular error summary data type, click the corresponding link in the Error Summary Data column.

For information about using error summary data with ADS, see Demod Errors and ADS.

See About the Symbol Table for an overview of the symbol table. See Error Summary Data for an overview of the symbol-table error summary data.

Error Summary Data

QPSK Quadrature phase shift keying, OQPSK Offset Quadrature Phase Shift Keying: A type of QPSK modulation that offsets the bit streams on the I and Q channels by a half bit. This reduces amplitude fluctuations and helps improve spectral efficiency.,

SOQPSK

VSB 8/16

MSK Minimum Shift Keying Type 1

8PSK, Pi/8D8PSK, Pi/4DQPSK,

DQPSK Differential Quadrature Phase Shift Keying: QPSK modulation using differential encoding of the digital information stream., MSK Type 2

BPSK Binary phase shift keying - A type of phase modulation using 2 distinct carrier phases to signal ones and zeros.

EDGE Enhanced Data for Global Evolution: A technology that gives GSMA and TDMA similar capacity to handle services for the third generation of mobile telephony. EDGE was developed to enable the transmission of large amounts of data at a high speed, 384 kilobits per second. (It increases available time slots and data rates over existing wireless networks.), QAM16-1024,

DVB QAM Quadrature Amplitude Modulation

APSK 16/32, DVB-APSK 16/32

FSK Frequency Shift Keying: A form of modulation using multiple carrier frequencies to carry the digital information. The most common is the two frequency FSK system using the two frequencies to carry the binary ones and zeros.
