 Last updated: January 7, 2012

 GPIB Command Conventions

 CALL:UPLink:CHANnel[:MCHannel]

 Function

The setting form of this command performs two functions: (1) sets Uplink Channel to a specific UARFCN (see CALL:UPLink:CHANnel:CHANnel ) and (2) sets uplink channel control to off (manual) (see CALL:UPLink:CHANnel:CONTrol:AUTO ).

The query form of this command returns the uplink UARFCN that is used by the test set when CALL:UPLink:CHANnel:CONTrol:AUTO is set to off (manual). Note, when CALL:UPLink:CHANnel:CONTrol:AUTO is set to on (auto), the uplink UARFCN used by the test set is determined by CALL:CHANnel .

The uplink UARFCN being used by the test set at any given time can be determined by CALL:STATus:UPLink:CHANnel? .

This setting cannot be changed while in the active cell operating mode. Attempting to change this setting while in this mode results in an error issued and the test set will reject the change. Use the cell off operating mode when changing this value. See CALL:OPERating to select operating modes.

If the Uplink Channel and DL Channel settings have an uplink/downlink offset of less than 30 MHz, the warning message "+217, Performance not specified for UL/DL frequency offset < 30 MHz" will be issued. The setting will be used as entered if not changed by the user.

 Setting

 Range:

  • 1|ON (auto)
  •  0|OFF (manual)

 Query

Range: 1|0

 *RST Setting

 1 (auto)

 Requirements

Test Application Revision: A.06 and above

Lab Application Revision: C.01 and above

 Programming Example

OUTPUT 714;"CALL:UPLink:CHANnel:CONTrol:AUTO OFF"
! Sets uplink channel control mode to manual.

 CALL:UPLink:CHANnel:SEParation

 Function

THIS COMMAND IS OBSOLETE. The Uplink Separation (Band) setting has been replaced by the Band Arbitrator setting ( CALL[:CELL]:BARBitrator ). Setting CALL:UPLink:CHANnel:SEParation to VMHZ45 sets Band Arbitrator to Band 5 . Setting CALL:UPLink:CHANnel:SEParation to any other value sets Band Arbitrator to Band 6 .

 Sets/queries Uplink Separation (Band) .

When CALL:UPLink:CHANnel:CONTrol:AUTO is set to on (auto), the uplink UARFCN used by the test set is determined by this Uplink Separation setting and by CALL:CHANnel .

If CALL:UPLink:CHANnel:CONTrol:AUTO is set to on (auto) and you attempt to set Uplink Separation to a value that would result in an invalid uplink channel based on the current CALL:CHANnel setting, an error is posted. With CALL:UPLink:CHANnel:CONTrol:AUTO set to off (manual), set CALL:CHANnel and Uplink Separation to a valid combination, then set CALL:UPLink:CHANnel:CONTrol:AUTO to on.

This setting cannot be changed while in active cell operating mode. Attempting to change this setting while in this mode results in an error issued and the test set will reject the change. Use the cell off operating mode when changing this value. See CALL:OPERating to select operating modes.
