:ACQuire:RLENgth:AUTo {AUTomatic | MANual}
Query Syntax
:ACQuire:RLENgth:AUTo?
Description
Select between AUTomatic
or MANual
entry of points-per-waveform (record length). The record length is the number of waveform samples acquired across a single sweep. Changing the points-per-waveform affects sweep time (display update rate), histograms, and measurements.
- AUTomatic
- FlexDCA sets the record length to optimize the single record length versus total database update rate. This is the default setting and is recommended when color grade or gray scale waveform persistence, or a histogram, or a mask test is enabled.
- MANual
- Allows you to specify point-per-waveform between 16 to over 10,400,000 points using the
ACQuire:RLENgth
command. The default value is 2048 points.
The record length definition is locked to samples-per-bit and this command is unavailable, if both pattern locking (:TRIGger:PLOCk
) and acquire entire pattern (:ACQuire:EPATtern
is turned on.
