RJ/PJ Histogram
Meas. mode:
Jitter
Waveform type:
NRZ
PAM4
The RJ/PJ histogram shows the combined histogram of uncorrelated Random Jitter (RJ) and uncorrelated Periodic Jitter (PJ). The graph's horizontal axis indicates negative (–) time for samples that occur earlier than expected and positive (+) time for samples that occur later than expected.
For PAM4 signals, the graph's title includes the text (Timing Only). This indicates that the effects of random amplitude noise and interference on the jitter histogram have been removed. For PAM4 analysis, the effects of timing and amplitude impairment are considered separately.
