The information is this topic applies to situations where you want to control an optical switch from FlexDCA for troubleshooting purposes. Normal control of the optical switch paths is done using the FlexOTO application.

After connecting to a supported optical switch, use the switch Setup dialog to configure the paths within the connected switch. To open this dialog:

  • Click Setup > Modules > Module (Slot N) Switching Matrix, or
  • Click the switch slot tile shown in along FlexDCA's bottom tray. In this example, a DiCon GP600 is connected.

  • Over remote control using commands located in FlexDCA's :SLOT and :FRAMe subsystems.
