:DIFF:PATTern:MODE
Command Syntax
:DIFFN:PATTern:MODE {ADETect | KPATtern | PFILe}
Where N identifies a specific differential waveform in the form "<connection1-8>_<ch1|ch3|ch5|ch7>". With connection 1, the connection number part (that is, "1_") is optional, and you can simply use the channel number "<ch1|ch3|ch5|ch7>". When two channels are paired to create a differential waveform and a common-mode waveform, the odd-numbered channel is used when specifying the waveform. For example, connection 5 differential waveform 3 (from the pairing of channels 3 and 4) is DIFF5_3.
Query Syntax
:DIFFN:PATTern:MODE?
Description
For data measurements like BER/SER (Bit/Symbol Error Ratio) where the measurement must know the pattern of a data signal, this command selects how the pattern is determined:
-
ADETect— (Auto Detect) This option tells the oscilloscope to automatically determine the pattern length and pattern by looking for at least two error-free copies of an identical repeating bit pattern in acquisition memory. -
KPATtern— (Known Pattern) This option lets you select the pattern from a list of known patterns (see:DIFF:PATTern:KPATtern). -
PFILe— (Pattern File) This option lets you load a pattern file that tells the oscilloscope the pattern length and pattern to measure against.Use the
:DIFF:PATTern:FILE:NAMEcommand to select the pattern file.
