:CHANnel:WAVelength:VALue
Command Syntax
:CHANnel{1:8}{A|B|C|D}:WAVelength:VALue <wavelength-in-meters>
<wavelength> is a double.
Where the required specifier {1:8}{A|B|C|D}
identifies a channel by its module slot number and channel letter. For example, channel 3C (CHANnel3C
).
The channel specifier will fail if it does not include a slot number. If instead the suffix's channel letter is missing, the command defaults to letter A
. As a result, the best practice is to always explicitly specify the channel by including both the module slot number and channel letter.
Description
On optical channels, enters a calibrated wavelenth (in meters) for measurements. The channel will use the wavelength that is closest to the requested number. If the wavelength is not within 1% of a supported wavelength, an error will be generated.
- To query a list of all available wavelengths, use the
:CHANnel:WAVelength:VALue:VSET?
query. - Although not the preferred method, you can select a calibrated wavelength by list order in the Reference Filter field of the channel Setup dialog, use the
:CHANnel:WAVelength
command.
The query form of the command returns the selected wavelength in meters. For example, 1310 nm would be returned as 1.31E-06
.
Requires FlexDCA revision A.02.00 and above for query and A.05.30 and above for command.
The Wavelength selection is only displayed for plug-in modules with internal optical channels.
Prior to configuring the channel to use a user-defined wavelength, you must first perform an optical calibration on the wavelength.
Example
:CHANnel2A:WAVelength:VALue 1.31E-06
