The N1000A's front-panel calibration output (DC Cal) is used to manually verify the DC accuracy of a module's electrical channel calibration.

In the Front Panel Cal Output dialog, you can adjust the DC Cal output voltage to 0V ±2V. For best calibration accuracy, set the calibration output level to a voltage other than 0.0V. The default level is 5.0 mV. Setting the level above approximately ±800 mV will require that you offset the waveform display, add an external attenuator, or both. The equivalent SCPI command is :CALibrate:OUTPut.

To Verify Electrical-Channel Calibration DC Accuracy

  1. Connect a cable between the DC Cal output and the module's channel input. Or, use the DC Cal output probe hook.
  2. Set the calibration output level using Front Panel Cal Output dialog.
  3. Confirm that the measured calibration output level is the level entered in the dialog.
