Test Program (Image Settings)
In the Test Program Measurement Setup and Test Line Setup dialogs, the following Eye Diagram Image Options are available. These settings are only available when Eye Diagram Image is selected in the Measurements field.
After your Test Program completes:
- Click Save which is located below FlexOTO's Job Results panel to open the Save dialog.
- In the Save dialog, select the dialog's Results tab and click Save. The eye diagram image will be saved in the results zip file.
Eye Diagram Image Options
Color
Use this field to select the color used to represent database points in the saved Eye Diagram Image. The Color Grade selection uses multiple colors to identify point density. This setting is set to Color Grade by default.
Use White Background
Selects white as the background color. This option is especially useful when printing a hard copy of the waveform as it saves ink or toner. It is also recommended when images are placed in PDFs or Word documents. This setting is off by default.
File Type
Images can be saved in the following formats: PNG, JPEG, bitmap, TIFF, and GIF. JPEG and TIFF. JPEG is selected by default.
Include Metadata
For Eye diagrams saved in JPEG or TIFF format, this selection adds metadata fields shown in the following table. Windows File Explorer and some image editors allow you to inspect metadata. This setting is on by default.
To view the metadata placed in your screen image file, you can right click on the file in Window's File Explorer and from the shortcut menu select Properties.

Show Measurement Results
Rasterizes the measurements results and embeds the results as part of the eye diagram image as shown in the following figure. This setting allows you to quickly view the measurement results that were made on the eye diagram. If you decide later that you only want to see the eye diagram and not the results, crop the image using an image editor. This setting is on by default.
To view the eye diagram image, in a Station's Job Results panel, select a Job ID, and then click View.
Regardless of this setting, the measurement results are also always saved in the Results.csv file that is included in the results zip file.
