Sync Search (RFID)

Default: Cleared (See RFID Standard Setups/Presets Table)

Selecting the Sync Search checkbox causes the software to search for a signal containing a specific symbol pattern.

The sync pattern can be selected from a set of standard protocol patterns or a user-specified bit pattern.

If the RFID software detects the specified sync pattern, the sync bit pattern in the Demod Bits trace is highlighted and the Result Offset is set to a time defined by the beginning of the sync patten minus the Synch Offset value.

If the specified sync pattern cannot be found, the result varies depending on the Averaging Mode.

If averaging is not selected, all measurements are carried out after setting the Result Offset to 0. All results are available and a "SYNC NOT FOUND" message is displayed.
If RMS averaging is selected, all measurements are carried out after setting the Result Offset to 0. All instantaneous results are available, but average results, which are pre-demod spectrum and tabular results, are not updated. Average counter is not incremented and a “SYNC NOT FOUND” message is displayed.
If Peak Hold or Continuous Peak Hold is selected, all measurements are carried out after setting the Result Offset to 0. All instantaneous results are available but peak-hold results, which are pre-demod spectrum and tabular results, are not updated. Peak counter is not incremented and “SYNC NOT FOUND” message is displayed.

Selecting Sync Search disables the Result Offset parameter because Sync Search determines when the results should be measured.
