:CHANnel:BANDwidth:FREQuency
Command Syntax
:CHANnel{1:8}{A|B|C|D}:BANDwidth:FREQuency <frequency_in_Hertz>
<frequency_in_Hertz> is a double.
Where the required specifier {1:8}{A|B|C|D}
identifies a channel by its module slot number and channel letter. For example, channel 3C (CHANnel3C
).
The channel specifier will fail if it does not include a slot number. If instead the suffix's channel letter is missing, the command defaults to letter A
. As a result, the best practice is to always explicitly specify the channel by including both the module slot number and channel letter.
Query Syntax
:CHANnel{1:8}{A|B|C|D}:BANDwidth:FREQuency?
Description
Sets or queries the sampler bandwidth (in Hz) of an electrical or optical channel. The channel will use the sampler bandwidth that is closest to the requested number. If the bandwidth is not within 1% of a supported sampler bandwidth, an error will be generated. Not all modules have a sampler bandwidth that can be changed.
- To set the bandwidth to its maximum value, use the
:CHANnel:BANDwidth:MAXimum
command. - To set the bandwidth to its minimum value, use the
:CHANnel:BANDwidth:MINimum
command. - To return a list of available sampler bandwidths, use the
:CHANnel:BANDwidth:FREQuency:VSET?
query. - Although not the preferred method, you can select a bandwidth by list order in the Bandwidth field of the Channel Setup dialog (electrical channels) or the Sampler Bandwidth field of the Advanced settings in the Channel Setup dialog (optical channels), use the
:CHANnel:BANDwidth
command.
Requires FlexDCA revision A.02.00 and above for query and A.05.30 and above for command.
Example Command
:CHANnel2A:BANDwidth:FREQuency 1.5E+10
