:SYSTem:AUToscale
Command Syntax
:SYSTem:AUToscale
Description
Performs an Auto Scale. There is no query form of this command.
If the Auto Scale is unsuccessful, one or more errors are placed in the last-in first-out error-message buffer. Use the :SYSTem:ERRor:NEXT? and :SYSTem:ERRor:COUNt? queries to determine if an error has occurred and the cause of any errors. The following errors can be reported:
- 143, "Instrument Error;Autoscale: No valid sources are turned on."
- 144, "Instrument Error;Autoscale: Could not detect data rate."
- 144, "Instrument Error;Autoscale: Unable to detect reference clock frequency."
Before using Auto Scale, turn on at least one channel and ensure a valid signal and trigger source is connected.
During an Auto Scale, the following tasks are performed:
- Scales the waveform vertically and horizontally for all the input channels that are turned on.
- Adjusts the trigger level.
- Sets trigger bandwidth.
- Sets the horizontal scale and position of the lowest numbered channel turned on.
To autoscale only the vertical axis, use the :SYSTem:AUToscale:VERTical child command.
When Infiniium is in Run mode, follow the AUToscale command with a *OPC (Operation Complete) query to halt program execution until the Auto Scale completes.
