:SYSTem:AUToscale:VERTical

Command Syntax

:SYSTem:AUToscale:VERTical [<list_of_waveform_sources>]

Description

Automatically scale the display's vertical axis for the displayed waveforms.

If you use the optional <list_of_waveform_sources> (for example, CHANnel1,FUNCtion1,WMEMory1), only those displayed waveforms will be vertically autoscaled. If the optional <list_of_waveform_sources> is not specified, all displayed waveforms will be vertically autoscaled.

To scale both the vertical and horizontal axis, use the :SYSTem:AUToscale parent command.

If the Auto Scale is unsuccessful, one or more errors are placed in the last-in first-out error-message buffer. Use the :SYSTem:ERRor:NEXT? and :SYSTem:ERRor:COUNt? queries to determine if an error has occurred and the cause of any errors. The following errors can be reported:

  • 143, "Instrument Error;Autoscale: No valid sources are turned on."
  • 144, "Instrument Error;Autoscale: Could not detect data rate."
  • 144, "Instrument Error;Autoscale: Unable to detect reference clock frequency."

Before using Auto Scale, turn on at least one channel and ensure a valid signal and trigger source is connected.

When Infiniium is in Run mode, follow the AUToscale command with a *OPC (Operation Complete) query to halt program execution until the Auto Scale completes.
