Query Syntax

:DIFFN:STATus?

Where N identifies the differential waveform, which must be selected from {1:8}{A|C}. For example, the differential waveform of channels 1A and 2A would be identified as :DIFF1A.

Query Response

{AVA | UNAV}

Description

Queries the availability of a differential channel for use. A differential channel becomes available (AVA) when the following is true:

  • An associated multi-channel module is installed or extended module is configured, and
  • The differential channel is selected in the Channel Setup dialog (Use the :DIFF:DMODe command).

Available differential channels are shown in the Signals Palette. An available differential channel's waveform may or may not be displayed. A differential channel is unavailable (UNAV) if the differential channel is not selected in the Channel Setup dialog.

Use the :DIFF:DISPlay command query to determine if a channel waveform is displayed.
