Limit Line Status Indicators
Limit Line Pass Status Indicator
Indicates that the amplitude of all waveform data points are within the limit line's boundaries. The displayed Margin results gives the location in time of the data point that occurs nearest to the limit line. The result includes the margin amplitude, which is the difference in amplitude between the data point and limit line. This is the smallest pass margin and is always reported as a positive value.
Only displayed data points are analyzed and included in the results shown in the table. For example, if you zoom in on the waveform and a data point having the greatest pass margin is off screen, that data point will not be shown in the Pass Margin result.
If the Margin results show Overlap?, none of the input waveform's data points overlap in time with any portion of the limit line. The entire limit line is positioned horizontally off the display.
Limit Line Fail Status Indicator
Indicates that the amplitude of at least one waveform data point is on or beyond the limit line's boundaries. The displayed Margin results gives the location in time of the failed data point that occurs the greatest distance beyond the limit line. The result includes the margin amplitude, which is the difference in amplitude between the data point and limit line. This is the largest failure margin and is always reported as a negative value.
Only displayed data points are analyzed and included in the results shown in the table. For example, if you zoom in on the waveform and a failed data point having the greatest fail margin is off screen, that data point will not be shown in the Fail Margin result.
