N1077A/B, N1078A Block Setup
If you are using an N107x-series DCA-M for clock recovery, the N1077A/B, N1078A hardware block models the clock recovery. Clicking on this setup block does not open a dialog. In this hardware block, the definitions of the Data In and Data Out connectors differ depending on the DCA-M model. The N107x-series clock recovery DCA-M models come with or without an internal optical splitter depending on the model option. If the module does not include an internal optical splitter, you can use an external optical splitter as shown in the following figures.
When an external optical splitter is present, the hardware block includes the splitter and, as a result, the Data In connection is the external optical splitter's input connector. One output of splitter is connected to the clock recovery DCA-M and the other splitter output is connected to an N1092x's channel A input.
The following table indicates which module have the internal splitter and which modules to not.
