Always confirm the ability of a the switch to accept a wavelength setting and what selections are available. Your switch model/option may or may not include internal tunable optical filters.

Switch Groups

Some optical switches include multiple switches (switch groups), and you must select the switch to use in dialog.

Generic Switch User Driver

If you want to use an optical switch that is not supported by FlexOTO, you can write a user driver for your switch. Your switch driver will allow FlexOTO to draw an accurate switch block on the Hardware Diagram and to control the optical switch to select switch paths and set the wavelength (if available). Learn how to write a switch driver using FlexOTO Programmer's Help. Install and run your switch driver using the Switch Connection Setup dialog.
