:RSOurce:CONNect:METhod {LAN | USB | GPIB}
Query Syntax
:RSOurce:CONNect:METhod?
Description
Selects the type of connection to an FlexPLL's source instrument: GPIB
, LAN
, or USB
. The Default setting is LAN
.
- LAN
- Specifies a LAN connection. Use the
:RSOurce:CONNect:LSERver
command to select type of LAN server used to make the connection: HLAN, VLAN, or sockets. Use the:RSOurce:CONNect:HOST
command to enter the source instrument's host ID. To locate an 81160A's host ID, click the 81160A's front-panel Utility key. - USB

Specifies a USB connection. Use the
:RSOurce:CONNect:USB:SADDress
command to specify the source instrument's USB address. When you connect the USB cable, FlexPLL automatically discovers the source instrument on USB. Connect a USB 2.0 type A to Type B connector cable to the source instrument's Type B receptical which is shown in the following picture. - GPIB
- Specifies a GPIB connection. Use the
:RSOurce:CONNect:GPIB:INAMe
command to specify the GPIB interface address and the:RSOurce:CONNect:GPIB:ADDRess
command to enter the actual address of the source instrument.
