Command Syntax

:MEASure:ERATio:CHANnelN:CFACtor  <ECRF>

Where <ECRF> is a double.

Where N identifies a specific channel and must be selected from {1:8}{A|B|C|D}. For example, CHANnel3C.

Query Syntax

:MEASure:ERATio:CHANnelN:CFACtor?

For PAM waveforms, use the :MEASure:ERATio:CHANnel:OERFactor.

Description

For the specified channel, enters an Extinction Ratio Correction Factor (ERCF) for an optical NRZ Extinction Ratio measurement. To turn on the use of the ERCF for the channel, use the :MEASure:ERATio:CHANnel:ACFactor command. To measure extinction ratio on a NRZ waveform, use the :MEASure:EYE:ERATio? command.

ECRF values are subtracted from the measured extinction ratio. For example, if a module's channel reports extinction ratio measurements that are too high, you would need to enter a positive correction factor value. If the extinction ratio measurements that are too low, enter a negative correction factor value. Correction factor values always represent a percentage of the measured value regardless of the extinction ratio measurement units that are selected.
