Limit testing allows you to stop data acquisition based on one of the following four types of events.
- Acquisition Limits
- Measurement Limits
- Limit-Line-Test Limits
- Mask Limits
When the specified limit conditions are met, the active tasks stop and, if defined, a reporting action is taken for each limit test. The following table shows the availability of each type of limit test according to instrument modes. You can run one or more limit tests at a time. As soon as the limit conditions for one of the tests is met, data acquisition and all tests stop. To reset any of the limit tests, click Clear on the menu bar or change any of the following parameters: vertical scale, offset, horizontal position, horizontal scale, trigger settings, acquisition record length, or averaging.
