Command Syntax

:MTEStN:ALIGnment:X:METHod {NRZeye | ECMean}

Where N identifies a specific mask and must be a value from 1 to 16 {1:16}. For example, :MTESt2: selects mask 2.

Query Syntax

:MTEStN:ALIGnment:X:METHod?

Description

Determines how a mask is aligned to an eye diagram. When designing masks, alignment can be specified in a specific mask file by embedding the MaskAlignMethod element in the setup block at the end of the mask file. Use the :MTESt:ALIGnment:X command to select automatic or manual mask scaling.

NRZeye
Aligns the mask reference point to the first displayed eye crossing for NRZ measurements. This is the default method.
ECMean
Aligns the mask reference point to the eye crossing mean of the rise and fall time at waveform's average power at the first eye crossing point for NRZ eye measurements. This is currently applicable to 10 GbEthernet masks.
