FlexEye VISA Addresses
From FlexDCA's VISA address, FlexEye derives a separate VISA address for each FlexEye session selected in the FlexEye Acquisition dialog or through the :FEYE:CHANnel:SID
and :FEYE:DIFF:SID
commands. The associated channel must also be enabled (:FEYE:CHANnel:ENABled
or :FEYE:DIFF:ENABled
commands). The maximum number of available sessions depends on the PC's configuration and is the lesser of the following constraints:
- 2 sessions per logical processor (1 session if pattern locked)
- 1 session per 500 MB system memory (1GB system memory if pattern locked)
- Maximum of 15 sessions
For example, a PC with a dual-core CPU with 4 GB of memory allows up to 4 sessions (processor limited). The latest version of the 86100D has a quad-core CPU with 8 GB of memory allows 8 sessions (limited by processor).
The following figure shows example VISA addresses for four sessions. The session VISA addresses are identical to FlexDCA's primary VISA address except for the hslip
number which matches the session number. The following figure shows the relationship between DUTs, FlexDCA sessions, and VISA addresses.
