If the PAM-N Analysis software option is installed, you can make the following measurements in oscilloscope mode on PAM4 and NRZ waveforms. The PAM toolbar includes a link to the PAM setup dialog and PAM4 specific level measurements. Use the setting in the dialog to define measurement parameters for both oscilloscope mode and eye/mask mode PAM measurements.
Pattern Lock is Required. The PAM4 waveform must be displayed as a single-valued waveform. To accomplish this, turn pattern lock on (requires instrument Option ETR).
