Command Syntax

:CRECovery{1:8}:SOURce  {ELECtrical | EINVerted | DIFFerential | OPTical | AUXilliary}

Where the {1:8} specifier identifies a slot number which is associated with clock recovery module. On 86108A/B modules, specify slot 1.

Description

Selects the module's data input connector for clock recovery.

DIFFerential

Both front-panel electrical connectors with these labels:

  • N1060A module: CHA/CDR+ and CHB/CDR– connectors
  • 86108A/B modules: CHA/CDR+ and CHB/CDR– connectors
  • N1076A/B, N1077A, and N1078A: Data + and Data – connectors
  • 83496A and N4877A modules: Data and Data connectors

ELECtrical

Front-panel electrical connector with this label:

  • N1060A module: CHA/CDR+ connector
  • 86108A/B modules: CHA/CDR+ connector
  • N1076A/B, N1076A, and N1078A: Data + connector
  • 83496A and N4877A modules: Data connector

EINVerted

Front-panel inverted electrical connector with this label:

  • N1060A module: CHB/CDR– connector
  • 86108A/B modules: CHB/CDR– connector
  • N1076A/B, N1077A, and N1078A: Data – connector
  • 83496A and N4877A modules: Data connector

OPTical

Front-panel optical connector. On N1077/8A modules, this is the DATA IN connector.

AUXilliary

Signal is connected to front-panel Aux Input connector on 86108A/B Option 400 modules. Provides a larger signal from which to recover a clock in cases where low amplitude data or clock signals input to the CH1/CDR- or CH2/CDR+ front-panel input connectors result in unwanted jitter on the recovered clock.
