:EMODules:SLOT{1:8}:STATe?

Where the {1:8} specifier identifies a specific module by slot.

{CONN | NCON}

Description

Queries a slot to determine if a communication connection has been established with an extended module. Simulated slots are always automatically connected when assigned. On other extended modules, such as the DCA, you must establish a communication connection after they have been assigned. To assign an extended module to a slot (including the DCA), use the :EMODules:SLOT:SELection command. To establish a connection for the DCA, use the :RDCA:CONNect command. To establish a connection to any other extended module, use the :EMODules:SLOT:CONNect command.

CONN

A connection has been established to an extended module in the indicated slot. If a multi-slot module is installed, such as the DCA which occupies slots 1 through 4, all slots occupied by the module return the CONN response.

NCON

A connection has not been established to an extended module in the indicated slot. This may also indicated that no module has been assigned to the slot.
