Command Syntax
:FUNCtion{1:64}:PATTern:MODE {AUTodetect | KPATtern | PFILe}
Where the {1:64} specifier identifies one of sixty four math functions that you can create. For example, :FUNCtion2
.
Query Syntax
:FUNCtion{1:64}::PATTern:MODE?
Description
Selects the method used to specify the input waveform's pattern symbol sequence that is input to the equalizer. The arguments are:
AUTodetect
- The function automatically detects the waveform's pattern symbol sequence. This is the default setting.
KPATtern
- Specifies a known pattern symbol sequence using the following commands. The
":FUNCtion:PATTern:FORMat
command is used to specify an NRZ or PAM4 pattern. TheFUNCtion:PATTern:KPATtern
command is used to specify the actual pattern. PFILe
- Selects a pattern file. Use the
":FUNCtion:PATTern:FILE:NAMe
command to enter the name of the pattern file. You can also reload a pattern file using the":FUNCtion:PATTern:FILE:RELoad
command. Use the:FUNCtion:PATTern:FORMat
command to specify an NRZ or PAM4 pattern. If a PAM4 format is selected, use the":FUNCtion:PATTern:FILE:GCODe
command to turn gray coding on or off.
By default, the equalizer automatically detects the input waveform's pattern symbol sequence. However, you can use this command to select a Known Pattern of type NRZ or PAM4 or you can load a specific Pattern File.
This command can be used with the following Signal Processing functions:
- Reference Rx
- Decision Feedback Equalizer
- Linear Feed Forward Equalizer
- TDECQ Reference Equalizer
- Pulse Fit Filter
