Command Syntax
:LTESt:MEASure:SWAVeform:CMODe{1:8}{A|C}:FTYPe {WINTernal | WXYValues | WYValues | WPINternal | WPATtern}
Where the specifier {1:8}{A|C} identifies a common-mode waveform.
Query Syntax

Description
Specifies the type of waveform file for saving a channel waveform for an measurement limit test. The proper filename extension is appended to the filename that is entered using the :LTESt:MEASure:SWAVeform:CMODe:FNAMe
command. The availability of each parameter depends on the FlexDCA conditions under which the waveform is displayed. This is shown in the following table.
State | File Type Parameters | |
---|---|---|
WINTernal, WXYValues, WYValues |
WPINternal, WPATtern |
|
Instrument Mode | Scope, Eye, TDR | Scope, Eye |
Pattern Lock setting | ⚫ | ✔ |
Acquire Entire Pattern setting | ✘ | ✔ |
⚫ = don't care. ✔ = selected. ✘ = unselected. |
The command has the following parameters:
- WINTernal
- The internal-format waveform files XML file (.wfmx) are comprised of an ASCII XML with binary waveform data. The following table show under which settings this file type is available for selection.
- WXYValues
- XY-value waveform files are ASCII files (.txt) comprised of a header followed by voltage and time values for each data point. The ASCII amplitude values are in volts or Watts while the X-axis values are in time. Each value is separated by a carriage return and line feed. Like the Y-value format, this format can be imported into many spreadsheet or word processing programs.
- WYValues
- Y-value waveform files are ASCII files (.txt) comprised of a header followed by amplitude values for each data point. The ASCII amplitude values are in volts or Watts and are separated by a carriage return and line feed. This format is convenient for transferring data to other software applications, as you can import this file into many spreadsheet or word processing programs. The following table show under which settings this file type is available for selection.
- WPINternal
- Internal pattern waveform files (.wfmx) can be saved in both Oscilloscope and Eye/Mask modes. The instrument must be pattern locked to save pattern waveforms. Pattern waveforms are long, single-valued waveforms that span multiple UIs, up to the entire pattern length. The pattern waveform ASCII files (.csv) includes a header followed by amplitude (y) values for each data point.
- WPATtern
- Pattern waveform files (*.csv) can be saved in both Oscilloscope and Eye/Mask modes. The instrument must be pattern locked to save pattern waveforms. Pattern waveforms are long, single-valued waveforms that span multiple UIs, up to the entire pattern length. The pattern waveform ASCII files (.csv) includes a header followed by amplitude (y) values for each data point.
Use the :LTESt:MEASure:SWAVeform:CMODe:STATe
command to enable and disable waveform reporting for the channel.
Requires FlexDCA revision A.05.80 and above.
