Query Syntax

:CHANnelN:STATus?

Where N identifies a specific channel in the form "<connection1-8>_<ch1-8>". With connection 1, the connection number part (that is, "1_") is optional, and you can simply use the channel number "<ch1-8>". For example, connection 4 channel 2 is CHANnel4_2.

Query Response

{AVA | UNAV}

Description

Queries the availability of a channel for use. A channel becomes available (AVA) when an associated instrument is installed or connection is configured. Available channels are shown in the Signals Palette. An available channel's waveform may or may not be displayed. A channel is unavailable (UNAV) if no channel hardware or connection hardware is installed.

Use the :CHANnel:DISPlay command query to determine if a channel waveform is displayed.
