Command Syntax

:CHANnel{1:8}{A|B|C|D}:COLor TCOLor{1:16}

Where the required specifier {1:8}{A|B|C|D} identifies a channel by its module slot number and channel letter. For example, channel 3C (CHANnel3C).

The channel specifier will fail if it does not include a slot number. If instead the suffix's channel letter is missing, the command defaults to letter A. As a result, the best practice is to always explicitly specify the channel by including both the module slot number and channel letter.

Click here for a Python script that shows 16 waveforms each with a different color. Each waveform is labeled with the argument used to assign the waveform's color. Note that the eye's perception of color in Eye Mode waveforms, with it gradients, can be differerent from the color perceived in color swatches.

Selects the color used to identify a channel on the screen. Channel waveform color assignments are saved as part of an instrument Setup file (:DISK:SETup:SAVe). Waveform colors are reset to their default values by a default setup (:SYSTem:DEFault) or factory preset (:SYSTem:FACTory).
