Description

Changes the configuration of the 86100D. The command does not apply to the N1000A. Each configuration varies in the available features as documented in this help system. For example, the 86100D boots up in STANDard configuration, which is the only configuration that supports the new one-slot mini modules. Modules Supported in these configurations.

STANDard
This is the default 86100D configuration. FlexDCA directly controls the instrument and supports one-slot mini modules such as the N1045A. Use the programming commands documented in in this help system.
LEGacy
Supports some features that are unavailable in Standard configuration. For example, Legacy configuration supports RZ eye measurements and all 86100D standard two-slot modules (but not the new one-slot mini modules). However, extended modules, simulated modules, waveform signal processing, and Jitter Spectrum Analysis and Clock Recovery Emulation are unavailable. Legacy is the 86100D user interface prior to software revision A.10.80 and below. You can programming this configuration directly using commands that are documented in the 86100A/B/C/D Programmer's Guide which can be downloaded from the 86100D product page on Keysight.com. The programming command documented in this help system do not apply to this instrument configuration. You can also control the 86100D in Legacy by establishing a LAN connection between FlexDCA on a PC and the 86100D and then programming FlexDCA using the commands in this help system.
