Query Syntax

:SYSTem:UTCNow?

Description

Queries the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) which was formerly GMT. The time is returned as a string with in the form of <month>/<day>/<year> <hour>:<minutes>:<seconds>. For example,

"12/10/2015 15:47:17"

which represents the 10th day of December 2015, with a time of 15th hour, 47 minutes, and 17 seconds.

Use the :SYSTem:TIME? query to return the current local time. Use the :SYSTem:DATE? query to return the date.
