:PROTocol Commands

Command Syntax

:PROTocol:PROTocolN:CFERrors  {OFF | ON}

Where N identifies one of four possible protocol decodes {1:4}. For example, PROTocol3.

Query Syntax

:PROTocol:PROTocolN:CFERrors?

Description

Depending on the selected :PROTocol:PROTocol:TYPE, this command specifies whether RS-FEC (Reed-Solomon Forward Error Correction) is enabled or disabled.

This command can be used with the following protocol types:

  • USB4 — When enabled for the USB4 protocol type, forward error checking is performed, and a RS-FEC decoder corrects:

    • For Gen 2/Gen 3: up to 2 Symbol Errors per received FEC block.
    • For Gen 4: up to 12 Symbol Errors per received FEC block.
