Command Syntax

:PROTocol:PROTocolN:DECode  {SYMBols | PACKets | ALL | DATA}

Where N identifies one of four possible protocol decodes {1:4}. For example, PROTocol3.

Query Syntax

:PROTocol:PROTocolN:DECode?

Description

Depending on the selected :PROTocol:PROTocol:TYPE, this command specifies whether the Protocol content window displays symbols only, packets only, symbols and packets, or just data when neither symbols nor packets are available.

This SYMBolsPACKetsALL selections can be used with the following protocol types:

  • USB4

The query can return DATA when a protocol decode has neither symbols nor packets as with the GRAW Generic Raw protocol type, for example.
