Query Syntax

:PROTocol:PROTocolN:STATus:REASon?

Where N identifies one of four possible protocol decodes {1:4}. For example, PROTocol3.

Description

Returns a string that explains the reason for a questionable or invalid protocol decode. If the protocol decode is correct, a null string is returned.

Additional information about the questionable or invalid protocol decode may be available using the :PROTocol:PROTocol:STATus:DETails? sibling query. Use the :PROTocol:PROTocol:STATus? parent query to determine if the decode is questionable or invalid.
