Command Syntax

:SLOT{1:8}:TRIGger:SOURce {FPANel | FRUN}

Where the {1:8} specifier identifies a module slot.

Query Syntax

:SLOT{1:8}:TRIGger:SOURce?

Description

Returns the selected trigger input for a DCA-M product. There are two possible returned values FPANel and FRUN. To actually select the source, use the :TRIGger:SOURce command.

FPANel
Front Panel. The DCA-M is being triggered from a clock that is input to theDCA-M's front-panel Clock In connector. The clock must be at a rate specified by the DCA-M's installed filter rate option or a related rate (for example, a sub-multiple). This is the recommended and default setting.
FRUN
Free Run. The DCA-M is triggered as soon as the trigger is armed, without having to provide an external trigger. Free run is asynchronous to the data. Free-run triggering is mostly used as an quick method to visually confirm that a signal is present.

This command applies to an N1090A or an N1092A/B/D DCA-M.
