Command Syntax

:CHANnel{1:8}{A|B|C|D}:SIRC:FRATe <filter rate>

<filter rate> is a double.

Where the required specifier {1:8}{A|B|C|D} identifies a channel by its module slot number and channel letter. For example, channel 3C (CHANnel3C).

The channel specifier will fail if it does not include a slot number. If instead the suffix's channel letter is missing, the command defaults to letter A. As a result, the best practice is to always explicitly specify the channel by including both the module slot number and channel letter.

Query Syntax

:CHANnel{1:8}{A|B|C|D}:SIRC:FRATe?

Description

SIRC data is created for specific filter rates and 3 dB bandwidths. Once the SIRC data has been loaded, use this command to select the filter rate or use the :CHANnel{N}:SIRC:FBANdwidth command to select the 3 dB bandwidth. Use the :CHANnel{N}:SIRC:DSTore command to load the SIRC data for the module.

Requires an 86105C, 86105D, 86115D, or 86116C module with Option IRC.

Do not use this command when making TDECQ or TDEC measurements. Because TDECQ and TDEC measurements call for a different bandwidth than the traditional bandwidths used by NRZ receiver mask testing, select the channel bandwidth using the :CHANnel:FSELect:BANDwidth and :CHANnel:SIRC:FBANdwidth commands, rather than the corresponding :CHANnel:FSELect:RATe and :CHANnel:SIRC:FRATe commands. When using the TDEC and TDECQ filters, the value returned by the :CHANnel:FSELect:RATe? and :CHANnel:SIRC:FRATe? queries will not correspond to the symbol rate.

Pattern lock must be turned on (:TRIGger:PLOCk) before you can apply SIRC data.
