Query Syntax

:CHANnel{1:8}{A|B|C|D}:SIRC:USTatus?

Where the required specifier {1:8}{A|B|C|D} identifies a channel by its module slot number and channel letter. For example, channel 3C (CHANnel3C).

The channel specifier will fail if it does not include a slot number. If instead the suffix's channel letter is missing, the command defaults to letter A. As a result, the best practice is to always explicitly specify the channel by including both the module slot number and channel letter.

Description

Queries the status of the SIRC data update, indicating if it has been loaded:

QUES
Indicates that the SIRC update has not been loaded. Use the :REASon child command to determine the cause. A common reason is the lack of a pattern lock.
CORR
Indicates that the SIRC update has been loaded. The :REASon child query returns the SIRC calibration status, for example "The SIRC calibration data from 23 October 2011 18:28 GMT is currently loaded."

Requires an 86105C, 86105D, 86115D, or 86116C module with Option IRC.

Pattern lock must be turned on (:TRIGger:PLOCk) before you can apply SIRC data.
