Command Syntax

:CRECoveryN:LBANdwidth  {BW270KHZ | BW300KHZ | BW1500KHZ | BW4MHZ}

Where N identifies slot number {1:8} which is associated with clock recovery module. On 86108A modules, specify slot 1.

Query Syntax

:CRECoveryN:LBANdwidth?

Description

Sets the loop bandwidth in Hertz on 83495A and 83496A/B modules. Because jitter is measured relative to the clock, jitter that is present on both the data and the recovered clock can not be detected by the 86100D. Jitter that is within the clock recovery module's loop bandwidth appears on the recovered clock. Jitter that is outside of the loop bandwidth does not appear on the recovered clock and can be detected on the data. Selecting the loop bandwidth allows you to eliminate jitter on the recovered clock. Specify a fixed loop bandwidth using the :CRECovery{1:8}:LBWMode FIXed command before setting the loop bandwidth. The default setting is 70 kHz for 83496A/B modules, and 1.5 MHz for 86108A modules.

Do not use this command with 83496A/B Option 300 and 86108A modules. To set the loop bandwidth for these modules, use the :CRECovery{1:8}:CLBandwidth command.
