Description

To View the Histograms

Viewing the histograms allows you to see the affects of your adjustments in real time.

  1. Turn on the TDECQ measurement.
  2. In the Results panel, select Annotations.

Turns on and off the optimization of histogram times for a :MEASure:EYE:TDECQ measurement. Optimization can be used to reduce test times. This command is equivalent to the Optimize Histogram Times setting which is located in two FlexDCA dialogs:

  • TDECQ Configuration tab of the PAM-N Analysis Setup dialog. To watch how the histogram changes while you adjust this setting, display the histograms on the waveform.
  • TDECQ Measurement tab of the TDECQ Reference Equalizer Setup dialog.

Optimization is ON

When optimization is ON, you can adjust the spacing between left and right eye measurement histograms using the :MEASure:TDEQ:OHSeparation (histogram spacing) and :MEASure:TDEQ:OHTLimit (adjustment limit) settings.

Optimization is OFF

Adjust the position of the left histogram using the :MEASure:TDEQ:LHTime command or the right histogram using the :MEASure:TDEQ:RHTime command.

The :MEASure:TDEQ:OHTime command should always be followed with a *OPC? query for program timing.
