Command Syntax

:MEASure:AMPLitude:DEFine:RINoise:UNITs {DBHZ | DECibel}

:MEASure:AMPLitude:DEFine:RINoise:UNITs{?

Selects the method of normalizing a Relative Intensity Noise (RIN) measurement (:AMPLitude:RINoise). The following arguments can be used:

DECibel: Normalize the RIN value to the equivalent noise bandwidth of the sampling channel. Select this argument if the input channel has an optical reference filter.
DBHZ: Select this argument if the channel does not have a filter or the filter is not on. This is the default argument.

Additional definitions for the RIN measurement:

:MEASure:AMPLitude:DEFine:RINoise:DEFinition to FlexDCA legacy or IEEE algorithm.
:MEASure:AMPLitude:DEFine:RINoise:TYPe to base the measurement on the one level or an OMA measurement.

Amplitude analysis must be turned on before the first interference measurement can be made. Use the :MEASure:AMPLitude:DEFine:ANALysis command.
