The Eye Memory subsystem commands allow you to load and display gray-scale and color-grade database waveforms into one of eight eye memories.

Eye memory waveforms can be saved, recalled, displayed, and measured in Eye/Mask Mode. The individual memories are identified by an integer (1 to 8) in the :EMEMory{1:8} command. For example, the following command sets the color of the displayed waveform for eye memory number 3 ( highlighted in red).

:EMEMory3:COLor TCOLor8

To save Eye data to a file, use the :DISK:EYE:SAVE command.

Data from channels (CHAN{1:8}), differential, color-grade memory, functions (FUNCtion{1:8}), and other eye memories (CGMemory{1:8}) can be loaded into eye memories using the :EMEMory:LOAD:SOURce command. To load previously saved eye-memory files into an eye memory, use the :EMEMory:FILE:LOAD and :EMEMory:FILE:NAME commands.

Horizontal scale and delay information are not saved in color grade-gray scale memory files. If you plan on loading one of these files back into the FlexDCA, be sure to also save the instrument setup. You will need to load (restore) the instrument settings when you load the memory file.

Example Command Sequence

This example loads the channel 1A waveform into eye memory 2, assigns the waveform's color to dark blue, and displays the eye-memory waveform.
