Query Syntax

:EMODules:AWGenerator{1:8}:STATus?

Where {1:8} identifies the slot number which is associated with an AWG instrument.

Query Response

{CORR | INV | QUES}
CORR
The settings in the AWG's memory are correct and matches the setting shown in the AWG Setup dialog.
INV
The settings in the AWG Setup dialog are invalid and cannot be sent to the AWG's memory.
QUES
The settings in the AWG setup dialog have not been pushed to the AWG extended module. This can happen if the dialog's Auto Update setting is not selected (:EMODules:AWGenerator:AUPDate).

Description

Queries the status of the connection to an Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG) extended module. Use the :EMODules:AWGenerator:STATus:REASon? child query to determine the reason for an invalid or questionable connection. The AWG can become invalid in the following conditions:

  • A corrupt or incompatible waveform file has been downloaded to the AWG. For example, the file's symbol rate is too high.
  • The LAN connection to the AWG has failed.

Requires FlexDCA revision A.05.60 and above.
