Command Syntax
:TDR:STIMulus:CHANnel{N}:POLarity {POSitive | NEGative}
{N} identifies a specific channel and must be selected from {1:8}{A|B|C|D}. For example, 2A. For differential channels, the alpha portion of the identifier to select from is {A|C}. For example, 1A but not 1B.
Query Syntax
:TDR:STIMulus:CHANnel{N}:POLarity?
Description
Sets the polarity of the TDR stimulus steps for the three stimulus types:
- Single-Ended Stimulus
- The step can be set to positive or negative. The default setting is positive.
- Differential Stimulus
- Both step are automatically set to opposite polarity, with the first channel set to positive and the second channel set to negative by default. For example, channel 1A set to positive and 1B set to negative. If you use this command to change channel 1A to negative, channel 1B will automatically be set to positive to maintain an opposite polarity.
- Common Mode Stimulus
- Both step are automatically set to opposite polarity, which is positive by default. For example, channel 1A and 1B are both set to positive. If you use this command to change channel 1A to negative, channel 1B will automatically be set to negative to maintain an same polarity.
To select the TDR stimulus mode, use the :TDR:AMODe
command. To select the differential types of stimulus (differential or common-mode), use the :TDR:STIMulus:CHANnel:TYPe
command.
